EMMETT T. RUFF
Emmett was born and raised in Yorkton. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with Great Distinction in 2014 and his Juris Doctor degree with Distinction in 2018, both from the University of Saskatchewan. Emmett joined the firm as an articling student in 2018 and was hired on as an associate after being called to the bar in June of 2019.
During his education, Emmett volunteered with Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City (CLASSIC) (2015-2017) and received numerous awards and scholarships, including Dean’s List (2012-2013, 2013-2014), the P.E. Mackenzie Entrance Scholarship in Law (2015), the Ariel F. Sallows Academic Excellence Scholarship (2016), and the Douglas A. Schmeiser Prize in Criminal Procedure (2017). Prior to beginning his career as a lawyer, Emmett worked in both economic forecasting and the insurance industry.
Emmett is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and maintains a general practice with an interest in corporate and commercial law, residential and farm real estate, taxation law, wills, and estates.
