Ron received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1970, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in 1972 and his LL.B. in 1975, all from the University of Manitoba. He articled with the Milliken and Rusnak law firm and was admitted to the bar in Saskatchewan in 1976.

Ron has been a partner of the Rusnak Balacko Kachur Rusnak law firm since 1978. Ron has appeared before all courts in Saskatchewan and Manitoba including the Provincial Court, Court of King’s Bench and Court of Appeal. He has appeared in the Tax Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2011.

 

Ron was one of the founding members the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association). He has taught law classes offered by the Parkland College and Public Legal Education Association. He is a past president of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce and the Yorkton Rotary Club.
